Nutrition
Be Above’s Nutrition department follows federal guidelines for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. These meals are low in sugar, salt, and fat, providing youngsters with the healthy nutrients they need while ensuring they receive essential vitamins and minerals in their diet.
Mealtimes are a communal experience between the children, as they eat in a family-style setting. This allows kids to develop independence and confidence surrounding mealtimes, honing essential social skills related to sharing.
Families can attend nutritionist-led workshops that are designed to inform parents about healthy eating habits at home, inspiring parents to cook whole food dinners. The nutritionist will review each child’s medical record regularly and reach out to parents if anything is flagged as a concern.
